This week has been an eventful week. A few days ago I found out that my book has sold almost 3,000 copies, most of whic has been through Barnes and Nobel.com. I almost fainted as you could imagine, that is a big number for someone who has just started out her dream of being a author.
So this morning I decided to go to Barnes and Nobel's website and see if anyone had reviewed the book and I found this review posted on Dec 9th 2011:

OMG! I can not believe it has been since early June that I have updated this. My life took a turn for the CRAZY the middle of June last year. My husband left me and I ended up moving back down to the states with my mom in Arizona. Even though since that tragedy jarred my life I am proud to announce that I have continued working on the series amidst the fallout of my marriage and I have an Important announcement to make!
THE AIR REALM IS COMPLETED!
The writing stage is over and I ...Read Full Post »

Well, I was on facebook today and I started talking with my friend Jen, who is a fellow author and has been published once before by an agent.
The main reason I went to smashwords was because I did some research back when I finished the rough draft of the Dark Realm back in August 2010 and there were not many agents that were 1, accepting queries for young adult fantasy, and 2, accepted email queries. Now, apparently, the world has changed drastically. The market is hard up for some go...Read Full Post »

Sorry about not posting a blog yesterday, loyal readers. I have been really busy with some projects that may delay the release of the Air Realm. Originally I was planning maybe a January 2012 release for the second book. I recieved a tip from one of my good friends of DeviantArt and they told me that BioWare, the game company that makes the Dragon Age and Mass effect games, is hiring for eviromental aritists and character designers for the upcoming games, Dragon Age 3 and Mass Effect 3. And t...Read Full Post »

I woke up the morning and I had a message on Facebook from a young woman who knows my oldest friend. Aparently my oldest friend had told this person about my book and this website. She told me that I should expand my site more to keep the readers on the site as long as I can so they get hooked. She showed me some ideas on her own author page. I added some short little descriptions and pictures of each of the main characters, hereos and villians. I also added a map of Iriana that is available ...Read Full Post »

Many of you may not know this but back in 2008 I had my very first novel, The Magical Land of Dina and the Crystal of Life, published by PublishAmerica and it didn't do very well. It was my first book and I was very young when I wrote it. Myself and my family both agree that I have matured as a writer and I have high hopes for the Magical Journeys series.
The reason why I bring my first book up is because I loved the characters and as I was finishing up the last of chapter five last nig...Read Full Post »

I spent the day yesterday formatting my book for an e-book and no sooner had I finished i put it up on smashwords.com and now it is available for purchase on that site and someone has already bought a copy of it. Also while I was formatting it I made a quick decision that I will also make it available as a hard cover at lulu.com

Today I was talking to my dad about different publishing options for my upcoming novel: Book one in my Magical Journeys series, the Dark Realm, and I finally opened myself up to the idea of e-books. I have been resistant in the past towards e-books because even though I am only 22(23 in June) years of age I am set in my ways when it comes to literature and the written word. I love to curl up in a blanket next to a fire or a space heater and read a good book.
I can never get used to the ...Read Full Post »
